Ring of the Origin
This design originates from an in-depth analysis of the cross-sectional structure of the lactating breast. The colored areas in the image represent healthy cellular tissue, the black spots symbolize bacterial colonies, and the white cavities are the milk ducts that transport breast milk.
From this life map, I extracted semicircular and annular cross-sections as the core design vocabulary, transforming them into architectural spaces: one end of the ring is elevated, while the other extends along a natural curve to the ground, forming a gentle ramp. This structure not only replicates the biological form of the maternal body but also creates an inclusive and fluid spatial experience.
Building on this, paper-cut silhouettes symbolizing newborns are incorporated into the space. They play and explore in this soft environment, representing the care and freedom of early life, poetically connecting the microscopic physiological structure with the macroscopic growth space.
